  4. 4Choose between the SD and HD renditions that Facebook returns for that post.

How downloads work

Facebook usually publishes two renditions of a video: a standard-definition file and, when the upload was large enough, a high-definition file. Both are served from time-limited URLs, which is why a result page becomes stale if you leave it open for a long time — running the extraction again produces a fresh link.

Posts that are limited to friends, restricted to a group, part of a private page or removed cannot be processed, because the file is never publicly served.

Quality options

Expect SD and HD options. Facebook does not expose a ladder of intermediate resolutions, so there is nothing between them to offer.

Only the renditions returned for your specific link are listed. Nothing is invented or re-encoded to fake a higher resolution.

Troubleshooting

The link opens a login wall

That post is not public. Open it in a private browser window to check — if Facebook asks you to log in, the video cannot be processed.

My download link stopped working

Facebook's file URLs expire. Submit the video URL again to generate a fresh set of links.

Frequently asked questions

Do Reels work?
Yes, public Facebook Reels links are supported alongside regular video and Watch links.
Can I download a video from a private group?
No. Only content that is publicly accessible without a session can be extracted.
Why are only two qualities listed?
Because Facebook typically publishes only SD and HD renditions for a post.
Is a Facebook login ever required?
Never. This tool does not ask for credentials and does not use an account.
